Story of Divine Grace

On November 15, 2013, during morning Mass at Christ the King Church in Vilakkannur, the priest Fr. Thomas Pathikkal noticed a small dot on the Holy Eucharist (the host). Slowly, the dot changed and showed the face of Jesus. Many people saw this and believed it was a divine sign. After that, the Church started a detailed study to understand what had happened. The host was sent to Rome and Bangalore for scientific testing. Experts used different machines and found that the image came from the host itself — no paint or outside material was used. After many years of careful study, the Vatican officially declared this a true Eucharistic miracle on May 31, 2025. A special Mass was held to announce this, attended by bishops, priests, and thousands of believers. Now, people from all over come to Vilakkannur Church to pray and see this miracle. The Church allows public veneration of the miraculous host.

  • The miracle happened during Mass in 2013, showing Jesus’ face on the host.

  • The host was tested in Rome and Bangalore with full scientific methods.

  • The Vatican declared it a true miracle after 12 years of study.
